MALISSA EVANS
Wilburton, OKLAHOMA
MALISSA EVANS was raised on several different ranches in Texas and met her husband in Memphis, Tennessee while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Although she's been riding since before she could walk, she didn't own her own horse until 30 years of age. Now the Captain of the RHINESTONE RIDERS (see Members page), MALISSA EVANS began riding drill in 1994. She is a full time housewife and very active in her church, 4H Horse Club, the Wilburton Round-Up Club, and the Oklahoma Equestrian Drill Association.

JANET HERNANDEZ
Oklahoma City, OKLAHOMA
JANET HERNANDEZ from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma began riding drill team over 20 years ago at the Choctaw Round Up Club in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Since then she has also ridden in numerous parades, playdays, trailrides, pony express races, team pennings, team sortings, endurance races and cattle drives. She has ridden with the CAPITAL HILL ROUND UP CLUB CAVALRY DRILL TEAM, given horseback riding lessons to children, and trained the horses she currently owns. Janet has worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 31 years and currently rides with the CHOCTAW DANCING HOOVES DRILL TEAM (see Members page).
She has two daughters and a boyfriend and looks forward with much anticipation to the RED DIRT RIDE.

KAREN STONE

A 'Drill Mother' of the FREEDOM RIDERS 4H DRILL TEAM (see Members page) since 2003, KAREN STONE also serves as a board member for the team. She is the Project Manager for a land development company and has one daughter, age seventeen. She enjoys the out-of-doors, animals, traveling, and making a difference for others.

NILA BIRCHETT
Mustang, OKLAHOMA
A founding member of the CANADIAN VALLEY RANGERETTES, NILA BIRCHETT has been with the team for 39 years! She is currently their Drill Instructor and also enjoys time with her grandchildren, bowling and basketball. She has been a resident of Mustang, Oklahoma for almost 50 years and is married to Sam Birchett.

HEATHER COMERATE of DRILL FEVER!
McLoud, OKLAHOMA
HEATHER COMERATE competed heavily in the Sport of Equestrian Drill Team on the West Coast before moving to Oklahoma in 2001. She has served as Drill Team Judge and Clinician across the country and is a Charter Member of the United States Equestrian Drill Association (USEDA). In 2002 she created her company DRILL FEVER! which provides products & services for the Sport. She is the editor of an e-Newsletter which features Drill news and information, and loves to give private and group Drill Clinics across the country. A mother of two young girls she has been married to David Comerate for 13 years.

MICHELLE PERKINS
McLoud, OKLAHOMA
A Central Oklahoma native, MICHELLE PERKINS is an accomplished artist and desktop publisher. She has been riding horses since she was 4 years old and currently rides with the CHOCTAW DANCING HOOVES drill team (see Members page). A mother of three, she has been married almost 25 years. MICHELLE was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2000. Being only in her early 40's, she is an inspiration to us all with her perserverance and constant cheerfulness.

BETTY BAKER
Oklahoma City, OKLAHOMA
BETTY BAKER is a native Oklahoman being involved in the Sport of Equestrian Drill Team for well over 40 years. She was a member of the former Sooner Saddle Club Drill Team in Oklahoma City, the founder of the former
CC Riders Drill Team, and a founding member of the current CANADIAN VALLEY RANGERETTES. In 2003 she founded the FREEDOM RIDERS 4H DRILL TEAM (see Members page) retiring as their coach in 2006. An active member of her church, she also includes her granddaughter and horses as her hobbies.
